My first wedding of 2014 was at the illustrious Arts Club in central London, with a fantastic couple – Scarlett and Stuart. I met these guys last August and knew instantly that their Arts Club wedding was going to be special (and it most certainly was). Their vision for their day was clear and they absolutely pulled it off. There were so many laughs, smiles and tears – it was full of life from start to finish. Stu and Scarlett are two of the nicest people you could ever meet and how they spoke about each other during the speeches was testament to that fondness and affection. The speeches, in fact, overall were some of the best I’ve ever heard at a wedding. So funny, yet so warm – the perfect combination.
Scarlett got ready at Claridge’s before heading to the Arts Club – an exclusive, private venue in Mayfair. It was a real privilege to document a wedding at such a beautiful venue. The evening was held downstairs in a super cool basement bar space, complete with dancefloor and stage. The party went on until the early hours – fuelled by the awesome Soul Jets. I would say they were the best wedding band I’ve seen so far in my time shooting weddings. Highly recommended!
Here are a few of my favourites from the day. Enjoy!
