Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of heading to Crete for Alex and Henry’s destination wedding. Being their Crete destination wedding photographer was a real honour . Popping to a Greek island for a weekend to work is pretty awesome and I still feel so lucky I got to go!
Alex and Henry decided to marry in Elounda, on the eastern coast of Crete. And boy did they choose a venue and a half. With a view to die for I can see why they jumped at booking up the Elounda Gulf Villas. It was quite a spot (no surprise to hear whispers that Angelina Jolie had been staying there earlier this year!).
I absolutely loved my weekend out there. It was such an awesome group of people who made me feel massively welcome and a huge congrats to Alex and Henry putting on a fantastic, hugely memorable wedding for everyone.
The wedding was at 5pm so I got the benefits of the soft end of day light – it was a lovely place to shoot. The reception was an idyllic spot by an infinity pool – and although dark – the candle light made it wonderfully atmospheric.
Thank you Alex and Henry – such an honour! I will always treasure being part of it.
Here are a few of my favourites from the day – enjoy!
