Back in June I went to the amazing Stanway House, near Cheltenham, for the awesome wedding of Matt and Louise! Matt and Louise are total legends and their wedding did not disappoint! Ever since I met them last Autumn I knew we’d be a great match and come the wedding in June I knew it even more. As I spent more and more time with them I could tell they were very special people and there was a real lot of fondness for them both from everyone at the wedding!
Their day was just perfect – an idyllic church setting, a stunning venue in Stanway House, a super cool classic Golf GTI, a giant fountain, a stunning barn, amazing speeches, epic dancing and most of all an absolutely brilliant group of family and friends! It is ultimately the people who make a wedding and I would say their wedding opitmised this!
We kicked off in the morning at Louise’s family home – a stunning house in Horton, with all the girls getting ready there, along with Ben, Louise’s brother. All the morning prep went smoothly and to plan! We headed then for a lovely ceremony, led by Dana (who I must say was the most welcoming vicar I’ve ever worked with at a wedding – thank you again Dana!) in the most beautiful church at St Peter & St Paul Church, Blockley. The service was upbeat, warm and full of a lot of love! Following the marriage ceremony, and after a very enthusiastic set of hugs and kisses with all the guests, everyone headed to Stanway House – which was about 30 minutes drive – for the the rest of the day’s celebrations. The weather was dry and warm, so plan A for outdoor drinks was enacted and we were able to do all their photos outside which was great!
The barn was amazingly set out – including handmade bunting – and superbly led by Lee at Strawberry Fields Catering (who was an absolute pleasure to work with!). The whole wedding breakfast looked stunning (see photos below!).
I absolutely loved shooting Matt and Louise’s wedding at Stanway House. It really was my ideal wedding to be at and I one I will look back on fondly! Thank you again guys for entrusting me with your photos – an absolute joy! Wishing you both many years of happiness together!
