Wow that year went fast! 48 awesome weddings, a tonne of amazing memories and most of all being able to witness so many people have the happiest day of their lives!
Getting almost 40,000 photos down to just over 250 is quite a task but 12 days into the new year I think I’ve finally got there! There are so many more I would have loved to have included!
Us wedding photographers all say it but it’s true – thank you, thank you to all the couples who have had me to their weddings this last year. I am SO grateful for how welcome you all made me, how awesome you were to work with and for enabling me to continue to do what I love for a living for another year. I met so many great people, and made many new friends, along the way!
Going to Santorini (thank you Sophie + Shawn!) and Ibiza  (thank you Selina + Rick!) were definitely highlights – you can’t beat destination weddings for a real sense of occasion and the opportunity to shoot in super cool places! I travelled a lot throughout the green and pleasant lands of England too with weddings in Liverpool, Cornwall and York sending me to the opposite ends of the country!
All in all it was a fabulous year – my busiest ever – and actually my first full calendar year being a full time wedding photographer. Although I have been shooting weddings now for over 5 years, and I’m over 150 in, my hunger and passion for my ‘job’ is as big as ever and so for my 2017 couples I have a simple message – I can’t wait for your wedding!
There is a uniqueness about a wedding day that I will never get tired of and without a doubt that happiness and joy has come to be what I aim to capture more than anything. It’s a tremendous time in someone’s life and the emotions it brings out are what gets me excited still for every wedding.
I’m really buzzing for what lies ahead, with almost 40 weddings already slotted in. I want to keep pressing on and want to make 2017 even better! There is no doubt there are more good times ahead!
For now sit back and enjoy my 2016 highlights either by the little video (don’t forget the sound!) or scrolling down below!
