Here we are now in 2022 and the start of a new year! Like every year I like to do a little look back of the previous year of weddings. It’s always enjoyable to look back over all of the amazing days and relive those awesome moments I was fortunate to witness with my couples!

After the trials of 2020, 2021 didn’t start off so well for the wedding industry, with the first half of the year continuing on with severe restrictions due to the pandemic. The mood was definitely very low in January and February!

However come April, small weddings were allowed and by the end of June it was lift off again!!! With the attraction of unrestricted weddings many couples chose to put back their dates to July onwards which meant in a flash the wedding world went from 5mph to 100mph… almost over night!

It really was a tail of two halves with the latter half being of the busiest it’s ever been. Although at times exhausting (and hard to dodge catching covid!) it was no doubt amazing to bounce back after a torrid 18 months and weddings really were even more awesome than ever. People were reunited again, having the best days and it felt so so good to be back in full swing. It was definitely a year I won’t forget!

As always the biggest thing I want to say is THANK YOU to all my wonderful 2021 couples – you really were awesome and I’m so glad you all finally were able to get married and have the day you deserve.
