Here we are again – it’s January and another year has passed! After the tough times of 2020 and 2021, 2022 was the year weddings returned very much to normal and the days of covid playing havoc were finally behind us!

It was a brilliant year (my 11th wedding season!) and one with so many awesome days and ultimately so much joy and happiness!! I met so many lovely people and made so many new friends along the way as each week I went across the country.

My end of review is just a chance for me to sum up my vision for wedding photography. It’s not necessarily a ‘best of’, more I’ve tried to look back at the year and encapsulate what I aim to do as wedding photographer. You’ll see a mixture of moments and photos of my couples (what people might call portraits). My aim across everything is to produce ‘photos with feeling’. I want the photos to make the viewer feel something, rather than it just being a record of what happened at the wedding. I’m always looking for connections – of course with the couple but also with their family and friends. Those connections of love, joy and ultimately deeply meaningful.

As always I owe a big thank you for my couples for giving me the opportunity to do a job I love and I’m so grateful for. Being entrusted to be their photographer means a great deal to me, and although this will be my 12th year I still have the same appreciation for the trust I’m given to document what is such an important day!

I hope you enjoy this summary and of course if you’re looking for a wedding photographer for 2024 and beyond do get in touch. I’d love to hear from you!
