It’s Monday and I’m still buzzing from such a good time with Matt and Rox at Chilston Park on Saturday! Their wedding had everything and more and so I’m so so excited to share some of my favourites now!
I was fortunate enough to meet Matt when he was best man at his cousin Dave’s wedding in 2013. He’s such a top guy – forever smiling and full of energy! Since then he went on to meet the beautiful Roxanne which led to an incredible proposal (he wrote out ‘Will You Marry Me’ with hay bales and showed her from the sky in helicopter!) and a call to ask me if I’d like to do their wedding at Chilston Park. Having done another of Matt’s cousin’s wedding – Amy – last May – I knew that weddings with this family were always awesome and Saturday did not disappoint!
The day in summary… we kicked off at Rox’s parent’s house in Great Chart, near Maidstone. Rox’s Mum is French so I dusted off my French skills (“petit Francais”…) and had a fun morning with the extended family as we prepped for the day ahead. Rox’s dress was stunning and she really looked amazing. Her Dad Dave was the nicest Dad ever (Matt you’re a lucky man!) and his reaction to seeing Rox when she came down the stairs was so special (I do love it when a Dad sheds a wee tear!).
The ceremony was at St.Mary’s in Great Chart – a lovely light church which provided the perfect setting for Matt & Rox to exchange their vows. Rox’s 11 year-old cousin did an amazing solo during the signing of the register. After lots of hugging and kissing everyone headed to Chilston Park for the rest of the day. The weather was on the grey side but it didn’t dampen spirits at all. Spirits were high and they got even higher when the guests were surprised by an amazing performance by The Three Waiters who appeared during the wedding breakfast. These guys really set the wedding to the next level and proved to be a wonderful, and unique, addition to the day (well done Dave for the idea and making it happen!). From then on in the day got better and better. The speeches were truly awesome and the party was cracking.
All in all this was a brilliant day and I was so thankful to be there. A huge thanks to Rox and Matt for having me along. I hope you guys have a lovely honeymoon!
Finally a big big thanks to Sean Weekly Photography for joining me for this one and for providing some stunning images (some of which are below!) and also a mention to Keith and Andy Ignite Films who we worked alongside with! Can’t wait to see the film!
