So so excited to share Beth and Callum’s Portavadie wedding!!! It was a corker!!
Last Thursday I ventured to Gatwick airport, jumped on a flight to Glasgow, then hired a car and drove for almost 100 miles through some true Scottish weather (driving rain and wind!) past Loch Lomand and all the way to Portavadie, near Loch Fyne, Argyll. The moment I saw Portavadie Marina, and then Beth and Callum excitedly with all their guests for their pre-wedding hog roast, I knew the trek was 100% worth it! By the time I got into bed 2am the night of their wedding I knew it was 200% worth it! It was an incredible wedding and one I’ll never forget at Portavadie!
How to sum up such a wedding at Portavadie? Well we had dream weather (especially for Scotland!) The morning was dry and by 3pm it was blue skies through to the sun setting at gone 10pm (We get a cracking sunset and I think it was still almost light at 11pm!). The location was truly stunning – so so beautiful and the staff at Portavadie were first class and most welcoming. The day was epic in every way. From Beth’s always smiling face, to Callum’s energy, to many many lunges, to a sword to cut the cake, to the ‘After 8’ game, more lunging, loads of midges, great poems, singing and much merriment!
I knew their Portavadie wedding would be brilliant and it really didn’t disappoint! I think I’m still buzzing from it 5 days on!
