It’s another look back to summer 2023 today and the turn of Alex and Henry and their amazing Stanway House Wedding! It really was the Cotswold wedding dream and a real favourite of mine from last year. Stanway House is your quintessential Cotswolds wedding venue and I’d highly recommend it for any couples looking for a venue in that area. You can either have your wedding in the main barn or outside in a marquee, which was was Alex and Henry opted for. Having been to weddings with both options I can say they both work really well.
Their ceremony was held nearby at St Michael and All Angels in Stanton, very close to Alex’s parents house. Stanton is a beautiful Cotswolds village. The architecture and colours are a dream. We had to dodge a few showers throughout the day but the weather came good in the end.
Stanway House is famous for it’s fountain and the guests are treated to seeing it in action during the afternoon reception. It’s a 300 feet single-jet fountain, the highest in Britain I believe and the highest gravity fountain in the world. The grounds of the house are wonderful and for a summer wedding it works particularly well being able to be outside well into the evening.
Alex and Henry’s Stanway House wedding was all round a real delight. I loved the elegance of Alex’s dress (absolutely stunning!) and the warmth and love throughout the day was wonderful. It was very much a wedding I enjoyed documenting! I always really enjoy shooting in the Cotswolds and always happy to travel from Surrey there.. It’s definitely one of my favourite parts of England!
If you’re looking for a photographer for your Stanway House wedding do get in touch. I’d love to hear from you and discuss your plans!
